”Disintegrating Affection,” 2018.

Memories are tricky. The brain decides what is important and what it not useful to keep. When a memory is gone, so are the persons, places or things associated with it. Some memories labeled as “precious” can be toxic which should be let go of. They become a toxin to our being which is dangerous and unhealthy to one’s growth. In this piece, the fabric is abstractly representational of a memory — an abstract and intangible being. The subject eagerly tries to hold onto a memory and eventually realizes it’s time to let go.
